What is it?: a 2 year discipleship course that will prepare every member of Calvary Chapel to mentor others in ministry. There are 7 books (or courses) from the Navigator’s discipleship model that will be completed in this time frame.


When?: An Intensive weekend will take place once every 3 months. The first weekend was held on Oct. 24 & 25, 2008. The second weekend was Jan. 23-24, 2009. The following is a list of upcoming Intensive Classes: (The list may change do to scheduling conflicts so please check back for updates.)

Feb. 19 & 20, 2010 


What will happen?: Every Intensive weekend will have all 7 classes taught at once in various rooms of the church. You will complete 1 book (or course) per intensive.


What class will I begin in?: All new or young believers will begin in Book 1. If you have walked with the Lord for more than 3 years or feel like you have a good understanding of the Foundations of Faith, we recommend that you begin in Book 2. Those who have completed Books in previous Bible studies, may move to the next class.


Schedule: Each Intensive weekend will begin in the Sanctuary on Friday night at 7:00pm with Praise & Worship. The 1st class will begin at 7:30pm and conclude at 9:00pm.

Saturday begins at 9:00am with a Continental breakfast. All classes will begin at 9:30am and will last for 1 hour. There will be a 15 minute break between classes and lunch will be served at noon, free of charge. There are 2 classes after lunch and the day will conclude at 2:45pm.


Cost: Each class will require 1 book per person with a cost of $10 per book. You can register at the back table after service on Sundays or come into the church office M,W, TH, or F 8:30 - 3:00.


Child care: will be provided on Friday night only, for a cost of $1 per child.


Who may attend?: These Intensives are designed for all adults and our Youth group (Jr. High & High School).


Goal: This will be Calvary’s spiritual growth model for years to come. Those who complete all 7 classes may apply to be “ministry mentors”. Mentors will take new believers and new members through the discipleship process following the completion of Intensives (Spring 2010).
