Senior Pastor & minister
Pastor Shawn and Mary Jane Murphy, have been honored to serve in the office of Senior Pastor for Calvary Chapel since 1999.
They met in Mary Jane’s hometown of Vancouver, Canada where she served as an administrator in her local church. While finishing his studies at Oral Roberts University, Shawn led a music missions team on tour that summer which ministered in her church. God used this to bring their lives together and they were married one year later in 1989.
The Murphy’s have been incredibly blessed with four beautiful children and one grandchild who they adore. Along with family activities, they love traveling, ministry…and yes, the Baltimore Ravens!
Together, they combine a powerful ministry as Rev. Mary Jane is a dynamic worship leader and Pastor Shawn ministers in preaching the Word of God. They have traveled together and separately as featured ministers in Crusades, Pastors conferences, Bible colleges, and churches in many nations throughout the world.
Pastor Shawn is also a graduate of Chesapeake Bible college school of Theology and presides as President of the Presbytery for Calvary Ministerial Fellowship, providing a spiritual covering for ministers worldwide.
PST. FRANCIS & MILLIE DUODU
ASSOCIATE PASTOR
Pastor Francis (as he is affectionately called) is a passionate Jesus lover. His philosophy of Ministry is to be led by the Holy Spirit and to help others to become quality contributors to the Kingdom of God.
He currently serves as the Associate Pastor of Calvary chapel International Worship Center with over 24 years of full-time pastoral ministry. His passion is to support, encourage and strengthen local believers to be involved in the work of ministry.
In the words of Apostle Paul: “for I long to see you that I may impart to you some spiritual gifts and at the end you will be established”(Roman 1:11)- Pastor Francis’ servant leadership style and wealth of theological insight transcends cultural barrier and has inspired many people.
He has taught in a number of Bible Colleges and seminaries as an adjunct professor. He is the Dean of Winning Grace Bible institute. He oversees the Prayer ministry at Calvary Chapel and currently serves as coordinator of the School of Ministry.
He also serves as a professor - Missions to Africa - Bible College that provides free seminary training to pastors and leaders who are called to ministry but have not had formal training.
He and his wife Millicent reside in Glen Burnie, Maryland and are blessed with three boys Immanuel, Francis Jnr, and Joseph. Pst. Francis is known for his popular expression “Say it Again!!!” when the preaching is on fire 🔥 and he is excited about it.
PASTOR DWAYNE SAUNDERS
ASSISTANT PASTOR
Dwayne Saunders is a native of Baltimore and has been preaching since he was 17 years old.
Dwayne was saved in 1979 after being led to the Lord by a neighbor. He has traveled extensively preaching and teaching God’s Word and loves nothing more than seeing the people of God edified and uplifted.
Dwayne attends Calvary Chapel where he is the assistant pastor and is responsible for assisting Pastor Shawn in various duties.
He is the proud father of Dwayne Saunders Jr who is currently a US marine corp pilot, Courtney Saunders, the “original daddy’s girl” and mother of his two granddaughters and Zaria Saunders, the light of his life.
Dwayne and Pastor Shawn have been friends since high school and are still very close friends today over 40 years later.
REV. CURTIS & FRANCES OLIVER
ASSISTANT Pastor & minister
Curtis and Frances have been married for 65 years. They have 5 adult children and 2 adult granddaughters.
Pastor Curt is an assistant pastor and Fran is an ordained minister at C.C.I.W.C. They have served in many areas in the past 25 years. They currently serve in the Housing Program which Pastor Curt established.
Pastor Curt loves apple pie but Fran is the apple of his eye!!
REV. WAYNE & REV. SALETA JOHNSON
OPERATIONS Pastor & minister
Pastor Wayne and Rev. Saleta Johnson are committed, support servant leaders that have served in various leadership capacities at Calvary Chapel since 2012. Pastor Wayne currently serves as Operations Pastor and Rev. Saleta serves as a Pastoral aide.
Wayne, a native of Florida, has dedicated nearly 40 years to serving his country, first as a commissioned officer in the United States Army and later as a Department of Defense civil servant.
He loves serving and helping those in need. He freely shares his spiritual and natural gifts to bless those within his spear of influence. Saleta is a native of Michigan and has a passion for the truth of God’s Word and desires to see believers mature in their walk with Christ. She loves serving others through prayer and is a preacher/teacher of God’s Word. Together they believe they are blessed to be a blessing.
Wayne and Saleta have been married for 26 years and are blessed to be the parents of their son, Austin. They both enjoy fishing and have recently embarked upon the fun adventure of raising backyard chickens and gathering fresh eggs.
